The Sydney Metro Expansion and Upgrades project is a comprehensive undertaking aimed at transforming Sydney’s public transportation infrastructure. Sydney Metro City and Southwest is 15.5km of new twin tunnels from Sydney’s north, under the harbour and CBD with 6 newly constructed stations and an upgrade to the existing south-west system to Bankstown to accept Metro trains; integrating with the existing north-west Metro for a total operated length of 66km.
